About Me

  • As part of our beautiful community of Banyule I have long worked for positive change.Â
  • I want to be part of and help build a community that is truly inclusive, not just in words but in actions as well.
  • I want to ensure that resources are used appropriately and with transparency where all differing opinions can be part of the conversations.
  • I have spent most of my adult life in Banyule and have a supportive husband and a menagerie of animals.
  • I am deeply dedicated to ensuring Banyule is a great place to live and I have run part of my business out of Banyule since 2013.
  • I have a strong business background including obtaining a MBA from Swinburne University in 2017.
  • I am involved in several community groups and enjoy learning new topics and skills and volunteer some time to teach others members new skills.
  • I’m also very capable of critical thinking, and I’m open to hearing all points of view not just those that suit my own beliefs.
  • I am passionate about animals, nature and the consumerism emergency.
  • I will remain completely independent, making my priority you, the resident, rather than a political party.

I have known Melissa for about 15 years and worked with her on projects to bring about a better world. We regularly speak on the phone and I have nothing but respect for her as a vegan, human being and someone who boldly speaks their truth – she is not afraid of being unpopular and she invites people to think for themselves and not accept everything they are told, particularly in the media.
