Before the campaign for Local Government began, I had a lot of discussions about whether I would be able to make a greater impact as a Councillor or as a “squeaky wheel” not bound by the rules and governance of council.
Well, it turns out that the “squeaky wheel” will continue to be heard for at least another four years as I was unsuccessful in my bid.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported my campaign, as well as to the many wonderful people I met along the way. These conversations have deepened my understanding of the issues that matter most to our community.
I will remain actively involved in council meetings and public ‘consultations’, and I will continue to listen closely to what truly concerns residents.
It doesn’t matter if my views differ from some on certain issues, I am always open to hearing other views and learning.
I want to assure you that my commitment to making Banyule the best community possible remains unwavering. I will keep my website and social media channels open—please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Congratulations again to Alicia Curry
